Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks-2-1024x767Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (born July 9th, 1956) is an American actor and film director. He is well-known for his dramatic and comedic role. Hanks is an American iconic cultural figure. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was a Concord, California native to Janet Marylyn Hanks, a hospital worker and Amos Mefford Hanks an itinerant cook. His mother's family, which was originally known as "Fraga" was completely Portuguese, while his father had English origins. Tom was raised in the family of a "fractured family". He was not an actor in college and credits his inability be cast in a college production as the reason he started his career. He went to downtown and tried to audition for a local production of a theater, and was then requested by the director of the play to attend Cleveland and from there, the beginning of his acting career took off.
